Beef Alert: Mr. Pounds Reacts To Comparison With Other Artists in Ahafo, Says He Is Not Afraid Of Anyone.

Mr pounds

Over the past week, Ghanaians have resorted comparing artistes in the music industry.

This is understandable looking at the fact that many people are bored of staying indoors for the whole day due to Coronavirus lockdown.

It started with who has many hit songs and who is the best musician and the best rapper in Ahafo.

Mr. Pounds has subtly responded to the comparison with other musicians and it looks like we are going to have another beef in the coming days.

On his Facebook, Mr. Pounds posted “Ahafo artists although you’re good but you guys don’t make quality artwork…. Master you guys for better change”.

Other musicians in Ahafo are yet to say anything about this comparison and the impending beef.

Immediate Release: 2020 3Music Awards Goes Virtual on APRIL 24

3 music Awards

Accra, April 13, 2020 – 3Media Networks, organizers of the 3Music Awards today announced that this year’s main event will now be held virtually on April 24. The announcement comes weeks after it decided to postpone its originally-scheduled date due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

With Ghana’s public gathering ban still in force, the new date will see only a core team of production hands and performers staging the show to a global audience. The event will come live from a location in Ghana’s capital, Accra, to audiences on Joy Prime, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Joy Prime TV as well as partner web platforms.

“In the past few weeks following the postponement of our annual event and the Fan Festival, we have been brainstorming and exploring possible ways of making the event happen if the situation persists,” says Sadiq Abdulai Abu, CEO, 3Media Networks.

“Given the current lockdown and the fact we are dealing with a fluid situation with no certain end in sight, the team has had to consider one of the options we brainstormed about to ensure that deserving winners for 3Music Awards 2020 are announced as well as wrap our timelines for 2019/2020 and begin preparing for next year.” The event will feature only three physical performance blocks while others will come through virtually.

3Media Networks say proceeds realized from the final week of voting will be donated to Ghana’s efforts at fighting the COVID-19 outbreak. Prior to the earlier postponement, the scheme held a successful nominees announcement night attended by leading industry heads. The event was followed by the highly successful 3Music Women’s Brunch, which brought together leading figures in the arts, creative and entertainment industry for a day’s thought leadership and honoring session.

3Music Awards 2020 is presented by 3Media Networks, Joy FM, Hitz FM, Joy Prime TV, Fantasy Entertainment and EnE Ghana and sponsored by Nasco Electronics with support from Volta Hotel Akosombo and Akosombo Textiles LTD.

I wouldn’t have made a beat for Ball J if I knew he was going to waste it- Fortune Dane clears the Air

Fortune beat

There’s being chaos recently between some rappers who think Sarkodie has been helping hit. These jabs from the acts triggered the rapper Sarkodie to come out with a qualified diss dubbed “SubZero” and got many people wowed. Ball J who was at the receiving end couldn’t bear the heat and also released a song under pressure.

His reply had a beat produced by Fortune Dane, the hip-hop producer behind “Original” and “Hand To Mouth” and got so many fans talking about it. The producer has come out to deny the claims he was backing Ball J to diss Sarkodie by giving him a beat.
Fortune Dane says, Ball J asked for the beat last year but couldn’t use it and so it’s not a new beat he’s produced.
He further noted that has he known Ball J was going to waste that beat, he wouldn’t have done it for him.

Sarkodie didn’t disrespected Sunyani rappers.

Sarkodie

Sarkodie released a said call Diss track to Asem. After Asem first throw shots at Sarkodie in a Freestyle video he did.

Two days latter Sarkodie also drop “SUB ZERO” which contain many punch lines, On an interview today with Tv3 sarkodie made it clear that, Sub zero is not a diss song to anyone.

Some of the Musicians in Sunyani are worried and see it to be a disrespect to them about some few bars Sarkodie said in the track

But to me this is not disrespectted because what sarkodie was trying to say is some of the underground rappers in sunyani are better than these mainstream rappers we celebrate in ghana.

Some critics from the receiving end said it was a wrong time for the diss song to be released. In an interview with media personality Mz Gee on TV3 morning show “New Day”, Sarkodie disclosed the song wasn’t released at the wrong time and the other reason for the song was for the fans to enjoy and to reduce tension due to the virus

Am the best Ahafo rapper Jay Boy

Vim naa 🔥🔥🔥

Ahafo rapper, who performs under the stage name Jay Boy has often been referred to as the king of wordplay when it comes to rap music in Ahafo and Ghana.

His well -crafted lyrics are always on point and sends the message to the listener in different ways. Sometimes it will take one to listen to his rap lines twice or more to get the actual meaning of the word he lyrically combines.

With this, many are of the fact that he’s, if not the best then among the best.

Well, Jay boy has retaliated to the above notion stating that though his lyrical dexterity has been recognised among rap lovers, he won’t limit himself to the best wordplay artist but rather take the ultimate crown as the best rapper when it comes to the rap music genre in Ghana.

Jay Boy made the claim for the best rapper in an interview with Ahafonews360

The Fameye Look alike rapper due to his good works has been able to claim two good nomination for the upcoming Ghana music Awards.
